So here's the Verdict

Well we had our visit with our new pediatrician and it seemed to have gone better than expected, besides all the lovely paperwork we all dread filling out, and the copies of insurance cards and drivers license all while your three sons are everywhere. I mean at one point Emerson was in the insurance ladies lap, banging on the keyboard, and the other two had to take a pee break to check out the facilities. Riley, Brody, and Emery all loved the new doctor and I was even encouraged, they have longer hours and are open for walk ins on Saturdays till noon. The doctor even asked Riley if he would mind if he used his name, his wife is expecting another son he has one son named Reed and he liked the sound of Riley and Reed together...Riley could have cared less, but he had a comment about the name Reed of course..He said wait like " I read" and of course the doc thought it was hilarious while I was like oh well...I bet the doc went home and told his wife this is it were done three boys will put you over the edge.. We left with a prescription for a inhaler for Riley so now both Brody and Riley are consider to be asthmatic... The boys were well checked over and we had no strep just the good old stomach bug and viral infection. Of course you know I got it on Scott's weekend off at least he was here to watch the kids, but I wanted to do something..Hello I'm home all week. We tried to see Hotel for Dogs but they were sold out and so the boys were highly disturbed...So off to Walmart not my idea that would be good old daddy who is a big kid himself..I threatened them and Scott if another toy came in the house I was going to throw one out the door, really I said all of them but, it was an extreme case of toy box blow up in our den! Well wish us luck we are off to the allergist and g.i. in the a.m. for Emerson hopefully will come home with some answers... say a little prayer for my little man. Thanks Girls

New town, new school, and now new doctors!

Well if you weren't aware we moved and now that we are in a new town and officially in a new school, we are now meeting our new pediatrician today! Wish us luck so far the new experiences have been a little scary for my oldest Riley and he's not to thrilled about the new doc! It was suppose to be a new patient visit but pray that he will treat my sick kids because as of yesterday afternoon, Emerson awoke form his nap with a 101 fever. Then the evening progressed and Emerson's fever spiked and he threw up, only once so I was thankful for that and that we contained the mess. All the while Riley has had a cough which tends to turn to croupy cough so a we slept with Emerson in bed we, well not me Scott heard Riley hacking his head off. By the time I heard it he was having a hard time breathing and was wheezing like crazy, so I did what doctors tell you not to...I was scared so I did a breathing treatment of Brody's on him and he stopped coughing almost automatically, so after his dose of Tylenol for his fever, we were back off to bed..Only for us to woke up once more by Emerson and after his dose of Motrin, back too bed. Now were chilling at the house waiting till appointment time at 2 p.m. and getting out info so I can fill out all the new paper work and meet the boys new pediatrician so say a little prayer.

What would you do?

Here is my problem ,if you don't know we made the move to Cullman in November and after Christmas break Riley started his new school. So now here is the problem we went from a teacher who compared to Mary Poppins and to the witch from Wizard of Oz! I swear I am tough on my boys but I can not begin to understand why she is a Kindergarten teacher. I want my child to learn and grow as an individual and to love everyone but when he is uncomfortable and doesn't want to attend school now what do you think. So I made the call and spoke with the teacher and she asked for us to meet with her after school. Well Scott and I both went and met with the teacher ,she assured us that he was making friends and doing fine. Yet her whole attitude towards me was condescending saying well you know its only been 5 days of school and telling me to give it time. I know it takes time but when a kid doesn't want to go and before he never wanted to miss a day, what do you do. So now I find out they are on a totally different reading program which is another problem now he is learning a different method and program. Pray I will have the strength and knowledge to help my son over these hurtles and make the right decision on what path to take. Tomorrow I start the gym and start to regain my stength and my own time as a mother of three its hard not to loose yourself.

My Dear Riley

Oh what a anxious and heavy heart I have carried for the past few days, it seems each day seemed worse and hard to ignore. My dear son started a new school today with no tears from him, but plenty from me as I left him again in the hands of a stranger his new teacher..It was pouring down rain all night and all day so far flooding are drive and with umbrellas in tow we took first his brother to school and then himself. I and his baby brother Emery walked him in and neither me nor Emery really wanted to leave him...I tried to get a wave as he sat down with the other students but with no response and we slowly left. As we drove home I prayed to my heavenly father to make this transition as easy as possible for my Riley and myself... Please if you read this pray for the teacher and students he is with that they accept him and love him as we do and pray for his nervous energy... Thanks for your support..
